The Craft of Oil Painting

I have written a series of articles entitled: "The Craft of Oil Painting" for
Australian Artist magazine. This informative series was aimed at the
serious student or practicing artist and deals with most 'how-to' aspects of
the craft of oil painting in a simple and hopefully entertaining way. It
summarizes my teaching philosophy of 16 years of experience as a teacher and
nearly 40 years experience as an artist.

Originally the series was designed for five articles but due to space
restictions the magazine has edited it down to three, so it may be more
compressed than I have visualized it, but nevertheless I hope most artists
and students would find it useful.

This series may form the backbone of a possible book on the subject if
I find the time and a publisher to do it...

Sydney or the Bush? In the July 2006 Edition of "Australian Artist"

Writing an article on how to challenge yourself from painting Rural landscapes to taking on the challenge of Urban Landscapes is the theme of this article in Australian Artist 2006 Edition.

October 2005 edition of the Artist's Palette

I have written an article about my working methods, particularly about a new direction I am exploring at the moment of realistic images distorted in space. You can read all about it in the "How to" section of the magazine. I'd love to hear any comments you may have so feel free to email me your thoughts.

Permanent Exhibition

There is also a permanent exhibition of my work in my studio gallery at 2 Elsmere Street Kensington 2033 NSW Australia, which is continuously updated, as is the website. People visiting Sydney could contact me and a suitable time for viewing could be arranged.

Indigo Art is my online gallery and further information about me and my work is also available via Indigo Art's website, which is well worth exploring.
